hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 and 7th fes. Ridin’ on Dreams Recap
This year’s hololive expo and festival weekend has been an incredible experience for us here at hololive TODAY. Invited by COVER Corp. as accredited media, we had the incredible opportunity to attend and cover all three days in person!
hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 and hololive 7th fes. Ridin’ on Dreams is COVER Corp.’s largest annual event, typically held around the month of March. This year, we experienced hololive production in all of its glory, meeting fans from across Japan and around the world—from newcomers to longtime veterans who have been here since the first expo in 2022 and very first hololive fes. “Nonstop Story” in 2020.
Fans expressed their passion in so many different ways. From official and unofficial happi coats to detailed itabags, itasha, cosplays, and official branded apparel, the community’s passion for hololive production was on full display. Attendees carried everything from handheld-sized “hololive friends with u” plushies to jumbo-sized “DoQute” plushies, as well as handmade dolls of their oshis and so much more, with each personal item serving as a reflection of their love for hololive and its talents.
We also had the chance to speak with several fans about their experiences at hololive SUPER EXPO 2026, hololive 7th fes., and the broader hololive community. You can jump directly to these interviews by clicking here.
With this being our first time attending in person, and with so much to see both at SUPER EXPO and 7th fes., it felt impossible to truly experience everything. Even so, we’ll still be covering nearly every aspect of it, from official booths and brand activations to the live concert experience and so much more.
Below, you’ll find information, a collection of photos, and stories from our perspective, along with the perspective of fellow fans from whom we met.

General Map of hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 and hololive 7th fes.
For returning attendees, one of the most noticeable changes this year was the venue layout.
Exhibition Halls 4–8 were dedicated entirely to hololive SUPER EXPO 2026, with the addition of the Event Hall Arena. This effectively centralized the EXPO experience and brought key attractions closer together.
Because of this change, the 2F Central Mall (the long hallway connecting the Exhibition Halls and the Event Hall) became a core part of the event. It hosted several exhibits, including rows of hololive talent cardboard cutouts, which drew long lines throughout the day.
Meanwhile, Exhibition Halls 1–3 were dedicated to hololive 7th fes., making the transition between EXPO and the concert venue much more convenient compared to previous years. Halls 9–11 were not used this year, resulting in a more compact and cohesive event space overall.

The Long Hallway before the Venue, 2F Central Mall
This year, the 2F Central Mall was more than just a passageway. It became an interactive exhibition space for fans.
In front of Hall 7, the Advent VS Justice merchandise display showcased outerwear currently available for purchase through the hololive production OFFICIAL SHOP. Available until April 6, 2026, you can check out the Advent VS Justice Merch site for yourself here:

Near Halls 1–3, additional displays featured SUPER EXPO 2026 and 7th fes. merchandise. We could only grab a single photo (featuring GIgi), but there was so much more on display.
Closer to Hall 4, booths for the hololive FANCLUB and holoplus offered free giveaways, including stickers, though we unfortunately didn’t have the chance to visit them ourselves.
Below is a flyer given at the entrance, related to the hololive FANCLUB.
As fans moved further toward the fes. halls, they were greeted by life-sized cardboard cutouts of hololive talents across all branches: JP, EN, ID, DEV_IS, HOLOSTARS, and HOLOSTARS EN.
Due to time constraints, we were only able to see the HOLOSTARS sections firsthand. Many, if not all of the cardboards, had hand-written signatures and sometimes messages left behind the talents!
Before Entering hololive SUPER EXPO 2026
Entry into the expo followed a similar format to previous event years.
Fans gathered in a designated “Entry Waiting Area” until the official opening at 9:00 AM. This space, located within Hall 4 this year, featured the EXPO Visual Wall, a message board, an additional cosplay area (open from 1:00 PM each day), and the main entrance gate.
The Main Hall - Upon Entering hololive SUPER EXPO 2026
Upon entering the expo side of the venue, attendees were immediately greeted by the Main Hall, centered around this year’s theme: hololive time-warp
The space was divided into three primary zones (Parallel, World, and Memory) alongside the Food Area, Autograph Walls, and of course the central Monument.
Monument
Likely the very first thing you’d see just by how massive it was, at the center of the main hall stood the Monument, designed as a “warp station” photo spot.
Here, recorded messages from hololive talents played throughout the space, welcoming attendees and creating a shared focal point that brought the entire hall together.
Parallel
The “Parallel” zone showcased past 3D concerts and live performances on a large screen, featuring footage selected by the talents themselves.
An interactive game booth in the area also allowed fans to compete in hololive GoroGoro Derby, a video game entry from hololive Indie.
Nearby, a wall displayed hand-written signatures and messages from several talents.
World
In “World”, fans could experience the hololive OFFICIAL CARD GAME, which was nice especially for those playing for the first time.
This area also featured the HOLOSTARS booth, where performances and content by the HOLOSTARS and HOLOSTARS EN members played on a large screen.
You’d be able to see life-sized cardboard cutouts, official merchandise, and hand-written signatures and messages left behind the HOLOSTARS and HOLOSTARS EN members here.
hololive University was in this area as well, where live talk segment from the talents were hosted, allowing them to interact directly with fans through monitored broadcasts. Closer to the start of each SUPER EXPO day, attendees had the chance to line up and receive individual tickets for these “Monitoring Talk” events, giving fans the opportunity to sit or stand much closer to the monitoring screens.
Beyond this allocated ticketed area, other fans without a ticket could still stand and watch as talents hosted their Monitoring Talks throughout the day.
Memory
“Memory” offered a more reflective experience for fans, especially with “hololive Time Capsule”.
The Memorial Stage in the front displayed life-sized standees of hololive members across all branches in a half-moon formation, some featuring hand-written messages.
Memorial Stage featuring hololive, hololive ID, hololive EN, and hololive DEV_IS
Behind the Memorial Stage, the “hololive Time Capsule” area showcased personal items from talents, each accompanied by short stories and anecdotes involving those personal items.
We’ve captured every single piece there was to be shared in this area.

Food Area
The Food Area allowed fans to pick up pre-ordered items or place orders on-site, featuring food and drink items unique to hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 presented by several hololive production members.
Despite expectations of long wait times, some periods throughout the day saw surprisingly quick service, especially on the side of the food area where orders were placed on-site!
All items included bonus goods such as coasters and art postcards, leaving fans with both a nice meal and a collectible item to go with it.
Autograph Walls
Scattered throughout the main halls, autograph walls featured messages and artwork from talents and creators, including illustrators and some VTuber mamas, offering fans unique photo opportunities of hand-written signatures, art, and messages only found at SUPER EXPO 2026.

Cosplay Area between the Main Hall and Sponsorship Area
Located between the main hall and the sponsorship area, the cosplay area was filled with talented cosplayer fans posing for photos and interacting with other attendees.
We saw some familiar faces, like Jimmy in his Aki Rosenthal cosplay, along with others we had met throughout our time attending the event.

Sponsorship Area
Personally, the Sponsorship Area was one of the most engaging sections of SUPER EXPO 2026, highlighting collaborations between hololive production and various brands across different industries.
Rather than static displays, many of these booths offered interactive experiences. Things like playing crane games, testing your luck on gashapon machines, singing on karaoke stages to large crowds, and even fragrance sampling from a card!
We’ll go through these brands in no particular order. Below each sponsor name is an official description provided from the hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 official exhibition site.

Market Area
Although we didn’t get to see the Market Area for ourselves, it served as the primary location for purchasing official event merchandise for both SUPER EXPO 2026 and 7th fes.
hololive 7th fes. Ridin’ on Dreams in Halls 1-3
Of course, we can’t forget the second half of the festivities, which was the live concert itself!
The scale of 7th fes. was immediately apparent. While exact attendance numbers weren’t disclosed, the venue was likely packed with tens of thousands of fans!
One of the most notable features of fes. this year was the stage layout. A lane cut across the center of the venue, which allowed two mobile screens to move through the crowd, giving fans a closer and more immersive concert experience.
This setup had previously been seen in Hoshimachi Suisei’s solo live “SuperNova: REBOOT”, but was a newly implemented experience at fes.

Interviews with the Fans
While we thoroughly enjoyed SUPER EXPO 2026 and 7th fes., what truly defined our experience was the community.
Running around Makuhari Messe all three days, we had the chance to meet some amazing fans from around the world. Each one with their own stories and journeys as fans in the hololive community.
From longtime fans who have followed hololive since its early days, to newer fans attending their first fes., all of them shared that special kind of passion for their oshis and the hololive talents.
Below are some of the fans we had the chance to speak with, along with their thoughts on hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 and 7th fes. Please feel free to click through their names to jump to their interview!
It was after the events of SUPER EXPO and 7th fes. that we reached out to them for a quick interview, asking for their afterthoughts on the festivities. Read their responses and stories below:
kebb (@itsaKeb on X/Twitter)
hT:
Firstly, please briefly introduce yourself! Do you have a name you go by in the community?
kebb:
hi! Im kebb but I go by either my handle itsakeb or some people may know me as ign gigimurin on maplestory or biscotti on umamusume
hT:
Which EXPO days and STAGES were you able to attend this year?
kebb:
i attended stage 2 of fes and wandered around day of expo for a little bit outside this year trading cards and gacha! It was such a fun experience this year getting to see Gigi perform live at her very first fes! I had a lot of fun too just meeting and interacting with people there - i even met up with an old guildie of mine from way back when on maplestory!
hT:
Who in hololive production is your oshi, and why?
kebb:
its a little self explanatory haha but Gigi is definitely my kami oshi. I remember watching her debut and just really connecting with her. We both grew up in a really similar era of the internet and just hearing her yaps about old school mmos especially maplestory was so validating. Then the more i watched her the more i just really came to adore her personality and sweet thoughtfulness and kindness that’s layered beneath the surface level chaos. Just how mindful, open, wise, and mostly importantly how open and honest she is about herself and her likes has been the thing thats really gotten me to call her my kami oshi!
hT:
Wait you said you’re gigimurin in maplestory, right?! I feel like I’ve heard about you in one of her streams or maybe it was somewhere else. But that’s cool to know. I played more of the other Nexon MMO, Mabinogi, so I never really got into Maplestory, but I also really love when she talks about old MMO and I also feel like I grew up around the same era as her. Love her for that, and for everything you’ve said about her, 100% agree.
kebb:
haha yea i am indeed gigimurin in maplestory shes mentioned me a few times in her streams since i did a meet and greet with her promised not to sell the ign
her talking about old school era mmos and being online and gaming during that time was just so validating
hT:
If you had the opportunity, what's one quick message you'd like to share with your oshi?
kebb:
if theres one thing i want to say to Gigi is please never change who you are! Your honesty, openness, and most importantly your kindness and pure genuine energy are so infectious and really are so inspiring to me! Its been such an honor seeing you grow and continue to grow at holo and its been a true honor to call you my kami oshi! Keep on doing you and being yourself queen! (Ps i promise ill never sell your ign on maplestory i know we talked about it and im holding on to it forever!!)
Trent (@trentacusx on X/Twitter)
hT:
Firstly, please briefly introduce yourself! Do you have a name you go by in the community?
Trent:
G'day, I go by trentacus online (my actual name is Trent, creativity on that username!) I'm from Queensland, Australia and work in the Railway Industry with a background of 15 years in the Security and Surveillance industry.
hT:
Oh wow, the Railway Industry in Australia. Ever since coming to Japan I’ve been even more interested in all the different kinds of train and rail systems worldwide, but I’ve not thought about Australia’s yet. I’m curious what it’s like over there!
Trent:
Its definitely a different industry. We have short distance trains and long haul travel trains that will take people from one major city to the next. Similar to the Shinkansen but a lot slower.
We also have freight trains, some of which get to around 7km long.
hT:
Oh that’s really cool!! 7km long freight trains is kinda nuts to think about.
Going back to our questions, we wanted to know which EXPO days and STAGES you were able to attend this year.
Trent:
This year I attended Expo Day 1 and Stage 2. It was loads of fun seeing Justice on-stage for their first Fes.
hT:
Who in hololive production is your oshi, and why?
Trent:
I have a few oshi's to be fair, Haachama, Nerissa Ravencroft and Aki Rosenthal just to name a few. However, my Kami would 100% be Mori Calliope! As to why I say she is my ride or die oshi would be her hard work and dedication to all her activities and to fellow EN/JP members. She is kind and caring in her own way an it shows with all that work paying off. I couldn't be happier to have been here since Day 1.
hT:
If you had the opportunity, what's one quick message you'd like to share with your oshi?
Trent:
Keep on being who you are. Thats what truly matters and its why many of, if not all of us Deadbeats enjoy following you! Also, congratulations on the second Anime Opening, BIG UPS!
Cygfir (@CygfirNaorij on X/Twitter)
hT:
Firstly, please briefly introduce yourself! Do you have a name you go by in the community?
Cygfir:
My name is Cygfir, a french holofan that fell into the rabbit hole around Myth debut in late 2020 after beeing spammed with clips of Calli. For once, bless the algorithm for dragging me in !
hT:
Which EXPO days and STAGES were you able to attend this year?
Cygfir:
I got the chance to attend day 2 and 3 of the EXPO, and stages 2,3 and 4 of FES !
hT:
Who in hololive production is your oshi, and why?
Cygfir:
My oshi is the sweetest devil of all time, Towa-sama ! My first introduction to her was at the release of Palette, and I immediatly fell for her voice ! Whatever the scene she stands on, the energy she gives, it's just mesmerizing to me ... add on that her personnality : her sweetness and her coolness balanced by her pure dorkiness ! And she's such a hardworker ... Yeah, whatever she's doing, I just want to support her !
hT:
Aw man I absolutely love Towa. For the longest time one of my faves from JP, same as you also because of Palette! Brilliant voice and despite being seen as cool and kakkoii she really is just really silly and dorky, I agree!!
Cygfir:
Yeah, she's always destroying her kakkoii moments in an instant with her silly reactions x)
hT:
If you had the opportunity, what's one quick message you'd like to share with your oshi?
Cygfir:
Thank you for everything Towa-sama, keep beeing yourself ! Yukkuri !
Koronesuki
hT:
(Upon seeing their fantastic Tree Korone cosplay)
Who is your oshi?
Koronesuki:
Korone
hT:
Please briefly introduce yourself! Do you have a name you go by in the community?
Koronesuki:
Koronesuki
hT:
We’re here on SUPER EXPO DAY 2, but we’re curious if you have attended or are attending any STAGES?
Koronesuki:
Zenloss
hT:
If you had the opportunity, what's one quick message you'd like to share with your oshi?
Koronesuki:
Yubi yubi
hT:
Thank you very much for your time!!
JDLink (@JDLinkVT on X/Twitter)
hT:
Firstly, please briefly introduce yourself! Do you have a name you go by in the community?
JDLink:
I'm JDLinkVT, people just call me JD tho
hT:
JD! Apparently you're a VTuber as well and an illustrator?! I think that's really cool. How's being a VTuber like, and I'd love if you could share maybe a piece or two of your art!
JDLink:
I honestly didn't think of being a VTuber until I got into Hololive honestly. Wanted to try it out so I sorta AMEWAY'd my own model and created and learned L2D for a week to create the model I'm using today! It's very scuffed but I see it as a charm honestly. I'm not that well known but I somehow made it fun for me atleast to stream as a VTuber with the stuffs I do on stream which usually is just playing games!
As for my illustrations, I've been drawing since as a kid like all kids do eventually but a friend in high school got me to keep continuing and over the years I've just been trying my best! Eventually got a tablet around college and I've tried improving my artstyle more and more! I usually experiment with my style and ended up having like 3 styles that I personally liked doing! Here's 2 pieces that I'm currently really proud of:
hT:
Oh I remember that first one from around her birthday earlier this year! Really lovely art, thank you for sharing.
Which EXPO days and STAGES were you able to attend this year?
JDLink:
Funny story, I didn't go to any EXPO or STAGES not even because of zenloss but I specifically went to fes to meet up with old friends from last year's fes as well as meet more people and potentially hang out more with the ones I didn't get to hang out much from last year!
hT:
Who in hololive production is your oshi, and why?
JDLink:
I love all of HoloEN, but I became who I am today because of AMEEE!!!! She's really entertaining to watch and her creativity is so unique and contagious that I honestly would like to someday have my own like 3D studio for me and for any content creating friends who would want to also use it! Her being tech-y really gets to me cause I'm also interested in these stuffs! Not only that but what I really love about Ame is the fact that she's pretty selfless, in the fact that she puts others first before herself, which also pretty much shapes the kind of person I am today!
hT:
If you had the opportunity, what's one quick message you'd like to share with your oshi?
JDLink:
Honestly if I could give her a message that she can see, I'd just want to tell her that, "You're my role model and I wish the share the happiness I've gotten from watching and supporting you to other people as well! I also wish you nothing but the best and that you also look after yourself!" (maybe a bit long but I guess if said vocally its pretty quick?? )
Iroha Utakata (@irohautkt_cos on X/Twitter)
hT:
Firstly, please briefly introduce yourself! Do you have a name you go by in the community?
Iroha:
My name is Iroha Utakata, a cosplayer from Japan. People usually call me “Iroha.” The word iroha is like the old Japanese version of “ABC,” so it’s easy to remember, right?!
hT:
Which EXPO days and STAGES were you able to attend this year?
Iroha:
I attended DAY1, DAY2, and Stage 4! That means I ended up being in Makuhari for three days straight.
hT:
Who in hololive production is your oshi, and why?
Iroha:
My oshis are Raden (Juu Futei Raden) and Gigi!
Raden has her own unique world and is very knowledgeable about art and culture, which really stimulates my intellectual curiosity. Of course, I also love her visuals and voice, and I really respect her approach to her activities. We’re both from Fukuoka as well, so I feel an even stronger connection to her.
Gigi always gives me so much energy when I watch her! She may seem a bit wild at times, but she’s actually very skilled when it comes to performances—her singing and dancing are both amazing. It’s also really cute how she’s doing her best to speak Japanese.
They’re very different types, but I see both of them as creative innovators who truly care about their fans.
hT:
You mentioned you are a cosplayer, and I remember seeing your cosplay of Gigi at SUPER EXPO 2026 during the Gigi-Grems photo meetup!! It looked amazing and I remember really liking the tail and your ahoge. I think ahoge are really hard to keep up and Gigi has a big one, but you made it work really well! I'm curious, who else from hololive have you cosplayed? Feel free to share photos/posts!
Iroha:
I cosplay many Hololive members, and most of my costumes are handmade.
You can check out various costume and wig-making progress posts under the hashtag #いろはの汗と涙の結晶
I also made Gigi’s wig and ahoge from scratch. It was really difficult to recreate the gradient using mesh wefts and careful cutting.
I put wire inside the ahoge, so it’s very sturdy!
hT:
If you had the opportunity, what's one quick message you'd like to share with your oshi?
Iroha:
I’ll continue to support you as a fan! I feel so happy to be able to experience the new worlds you create in real time. Please take care of your health and keep doing your best!
Kalen (@happy__yorkie on X/Twitter)
hT:
Firstly, please briefly introduce yourself! Do you have a name you go by in the community?
Kalen:
My name is Kalen! I consider myself as a normie who accidentally fell in love with an anime girl (vtuber).
hT:
Which EXPO days and STAGES were you able to attend this year?
Kalen:
Day 1&3 EXPO, Stage 3
hT:
Who in hololive production is your oshi, and why?
Kalen:
IRyS. I’m captivated by her voice and personality. She’s silly and funny when she plays games, and sometimes you forget how good of a singer she really is. But when she does sing, she can take your breath away. The gap moe is incredible. After all, she was recruited as THE vsinger of Hololive English ☺️
hT:
IRyS!!!! I definitely know you for your passion and dedication to her, which I respect a lot. Since I ask this follow-up question after she made the big announcement, I’d like to ask are you excited for her solo live and full album??!! I’m frantically looking up flight tickets right now as I ask this, but as a fan of IRyS as well, this has me so excited
Kalen:
I’m genuinely so proud of and happy for her. I’m honestly at a loss for words right now because the announcements were truly huuuuuuge (大大大), just like she hinted. I was guessing that the announcement might be a solo live just to cope, but I didn’t actually expect it to happen. So this really feels like a dream come true for me. And I know it’s a dream come true for IRyS too, because she loves singing and performing in front of her fans.
A new Race Queen 3D outfit (it was SO FREAKING CUTE, HELLO), her first full new album, a solo live… it’s peak after peak! My heart can’t take it!
On top of all the wonderful news, I just found out that I got selected for IRyS’ M&G at Anime Boston happening soon on April 4. So I was busy booking my flight and hotel for this event 😂
My luck is off the charts. I must have saved the world in my past life 🥹
hT:
Wow congratulations on the the IRyS M&G in Anime Boston!! Yeah it’s looking to be quite the busy year now with all these events to look forward to.
Lastly, if you had the opportunity, what's one quick message you'd like to share with your oshi?
Kalen:
My one and only oshi, my favorite person in the world. Thank you for working so hard over the past five years to bring us entertainment and happiness. I’ll treasure all the wonderful memories we created together. I love you more than you’ll ever know💕 - from your baka fan Kalen
Other Photos Taken at Makuhari Messe
Here’s an additional collection of photos we captured throughout Makuhari Messe during hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 and 7th fes. Ridin’ on Dreams.
Final Thoughts
hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 and 7th fes. Ridin’ on Dreams didn’t just feel like a large-scale annual event. It was a reflection of not only how far hololive production has grown as a global phenomenon, but also how strong and amazing the hololive community really is.
From the scale of the venue to the diversity of fans in attendance, everything about this year’s event felt bigger, more connected, and more immersive than ever before.
At the same time, what stood out to me the most wasn’t just the performances or the exhibits. It was the people. The fans who traveled from around the world, the cosplayers who brought characters to life, and the moments we all shared as friends and strangers united by our love and passion for the hololive talents, our oshis, and our fellow fans in the hololive community.
For me, this was also a meaningful step forward. Covering the event on-site as media gave me the opportunity to not only experience it firsthand, but to engage so much more deeply with the community. From the conversations I had with companions both new and old, to the fun little outings throughout the weekend, to watching fes. STAGES together with friends in a hotel room on days I couldn't attend in-person, and all the other moments I got to share with a community I can call my own, the hololive community. These were the moments that made my first in-person SUPER EXPO and fes. experience truly special.
I’m incredibly grateful to COVER Corp. for the opportunity, and to the fans who took the time to have a conversation with me, sharing their fun and exciting experiences in the community until now.
Even after three full days of SUPER EXPO and fes., it felt impossible to see everything, and maybe that’s part of the experience. There's always so much more to discover, more stories to tell, and more connections to make in this community.
Looking ahead, we hope to continue expanding our coverage and finding new ways to capture what makes events and gatherings like this among the community so special.
Here's to the next one!
