Twitter plans to end free API access; HoloEarth advises linking your accounts using alternative methods
At the start of February, Twitter announced that it will end support for free access to Twitter API. This will affect many services utilizing the API, including HoloEarth.
HoloEarth is a virtual space, metaverse, created by COVER corp. It’s an ongoing project, and a Beta version is currently available to the public.
For account registration to access HoloEarth, Twitter is one of the options (Google and Apple being alternatives) for the account creation and login process.
However, because of the recent announcement to end free API access, some changes may be made to login procedures in HoloEarth.
They are considering their options and response after an official statement is made on the matter.
For now, HoloEarth advises linking your account using methods other than Twitter.
It may be advisable to bind other accounts you have linked to Twitter to other alternatives as well.
You may find a list of accounts you will need to rebind by doing the following:
· Open ‘More’ tab on the left-hand side of your Twitter page
· Click the ‘Settings and Support’ drop-down menu
· Click ‘Settings and privacy’
· In the Settings list, click on ‘Security and account access’ to expand the sub-menu
· Click ‘Apps and sessions’
· In ‘Connected apps’, you will find all the apps that are connected to your Twitter account
