holo Indie to Showcase Fan-Game Titles at BitSummit Drift

holo Indie is attending this year’s BitSummit, “BitSummit Drift,” which is currently running from July 19 to July 21, 2024, at the Miyako Messe in Kyoto!

BitSummit is an event showcasing Japanese indie game developer talent. From their official website, BitSummit was founded “with the goal of giving Japanese independent game makers a chance to show their games to the world.”

The event is supported by many different names in the industry, including Nintendo, Valve, Pocketpair, Epic Games Store, and many more.

holo Indie, which is COVER's official game brand for derivative work games, will be hosting a booth and offering free demo play of several holo Indie game titles!

9 game titles have been prepared at booth’s gaming stations. These titles include:

  • Holo Parade

  • Idol Showdown

  • Holo X Break

  • WOWOWOW KORONEBOX

  • Miko in Maguma

  • Miko Sniper

  • DUEHOLO

  • Age of Advent

  • ELITE EXORCIST MIKO

ELITE EXORCIST MIKO is one of the more recent titles to join holo Indie, and BitSummit attendees will have the chance to play a special demo version at the holo Indie booth!

Additionally, a 10th game available for demo play is holo Indies’ latest title release, “Hololive Treasure Mountain.”

Currently under development, demo play for this game will be playable at the “B-SIDE” booth, which is an indie game project brand by BeXide Inc. (Booth IP-35)

Gameplay looks similar to Holo Suika Game, a fan game based on the popular watermelon game Suika Game.

One key difference, however, is that in “Hololive Treasure Mountain” the stage is in 3D!

A three-dimensional island surrounded by water, with a shark (Gura!?) swimming around the island waiting to take the fallen heads, or “treasures” of 28 hololive talents.

Stack these “treasures” together on the island and combine matching treasures to make a larger treasure that’s a level higher. But if a treasure falls off into the water, Gura will snatch it away and the game ends!

Here’s a trailer for the game featuring voiceover by Houshou Marine:

holo Indie’s official ambassador, hololive ReGLOSS’ Ichijou Ririka, is also present at BitSummit!

A life-size standee cutout of Ririka, illustrated by Kay Yu, developer of popular hololive fan games and holo Indie titles HoloCure and Holo X Break!

Also, Ririka’s hololive friends with U Plushie was revealed for the first time, with the picture taken with her CCMC business card!

CCMC Corporation is COVER’s subsidiary company, established to focus on hololive production’s UGC community and fan-made games. “holo Indie” is the creator support brand under CCMC supporting hololive production fan games like Idol Showdown, HoloCure, and more.
