Yomiuri Giants x hololive Collab Announced; features venue decorations, special signage, limited-time goods, and a collaboration baseball game

The Giants x hololive Collaboration game has concluded!

hololive participated in several on-screen events before, during, and after the game, including speaker introductions by Koyori and Kanata, Koyori reading the starting line-up, several hololive talents singing the team's theme song "Fighting Spirit," and, of course, YAGOO's "no bounce" pitch challenge!

More information about the Giants x hololive Collaboration has been revealed!

On the collaboration game day, which is set to start on August 1st, 2023, at 18:00 JST, several events will take place.

The full game event will be live-streamed on the Giants TV streaming service (available only in the JP region here) and will have commentary by none other than hololive 4th Generation's Amane Kanata and holoX's Hakui Koyori!

Additionally, YAGOO's "No bounce" challenge will also be live-streamed on the Giants TV streaming service, which will be available to watch on stream for free!

For clarification, a Giants ID is needed to watch both events, and it can be obtained for free. However, to watch the full game with commentary by Kanata and Koyori, a Giants TV membership, which is a paid subscription, is required.

The Yomiuri Giants are the oldest professional Japanese baseball team in Japan, with 22 Japan Series titles to their name. They are known as the “New York Yankees of Japan” because of their popularity, numerous championships, and large active fanbase (and, of course, haters).

Starting August 1, 2023…

The collaboration proceedings will begin on the day of the baseball match against the Tokyo Yakult Swallows at 18:00 JST of that day. Official information about the collaboration can be found on the hololiveCITY website.

Several collaboration plans and events will occur, including:

  • A special appearances by hololive talents in the announcements and visual screens of the Tokyo Dome hall

  • Various other collaboration visual showcases on the Tokyo Dome’s signage

  • Special ticket sales (planned for mid-June)

    • Tour plans that may include tickets are also anticipated. More info coming soon.

  • Collaboration goods/merchandise sales

  • Post-game-event participation novelties and souvenirs

  • Collaboration Food

  • And much more TBA

Participating talents for this collaboration include the following:

  • hololive 1st generation: Shirakami Fubuki

  • hololive 2nd generation: Nakiri Ayame, Oozora Subaru

  • holoGamers: Ookami Mio, Inugami Korone

  • hololive 3rd generation: Usada Pekora

  • hololive 4th generation: Amane Kanata

  • holoX: Hakui Koyori, Kazama Iroha

 

The Twitter hashtag#YAGOOノーバン campaign will also start! This is a “revenge plan” challenge for YAGOO to avoid bouncing the ball on the pitch, possibly a small poke of fun at his previous attempt to deliver the first pitch at the Pacific League opening ceremony in a previous hololive collaboration with Pacific League Baseball.
