Various hololive Members to Take Part in Official Minecraft Japan Tournament
(update 3/29/2023)
The hololive girls take 3rd place in this year’s Minecraft Japan Tournament! Additionally, Sakamata Chloe received 3rd place in MVP category ‘Player who earned the most points’.
Congratulations to Pekora, Kanata, Botan, Chloe, and Laplus!
Starting on March 28th at 18:00 JST, Minecraft Japan (@minecraftjapan) will be hosting a PvP online event “Minecraft Versus: Battle of Farmers” featuring various content creators.
Yellow team of the tournament will consist of 5 hololive members, including:
holoJP 3rd generation’s Usada Pekora: YouTube POV @usadapekora
holoJP 4th generation’s Amane Kanata: YouTube POV @AmaneKanata
holoJP 5th generation’s Shishiro Botan: YouTube POV @ShishiroBotan
holoX’s Sakamata Chloe: YouTube POV @SakamataChloe
holoX’s Laplus (La+) Darkness: YouTube POV @LaplusDarknesss
The event will involve a tournament featuring PvP and farming, where teams will try to survive and gain points by defeating mobs, defeating other team players, and collecting ore.
Farming comes into play in the form of a "currency" to trade in for various weapons and armor. A trade chest will be present where players can trade agricultural products for goods that can give them an advantage in battle against other teams and even boss mobs like the Ender Dragon.
A golden pig bonus mob will also appear somewhere on the battlefield, and the team responsible for killing it will receive 1,000 points.
In addition to the already listed ways of earning points (defeating players, mobs, collecting ore, and defeating the golden pig), teams can also earn a significant amount of points by slaying the Ender Dragon.
Slaying the Ender Dragon will be an important goal for teams, and gaining equipment from the Trade Chests will give teams the advantage to do this.
As mentioned, Trade Chests will offer random equipment that can prove very useful, as there is a chance to obtain some rare equipment and items from them.
Because of this, the farming/agricultural factor of the tournament will also prove important in the end game.
Regarding PvP, players can gain points by defeating other team players, but they can also lose points by being defeated themselves. Also, points will be deducted if they accidentally kill a teammate.
Despite PvP being enabled, items won’t be lost on death!
