A live demo was scheduled just a few days ago showcasing well-renowned electone player 楠本 まどか (@mado_0416) playing on the collaboration electone “LUNA”!

She plays several hololive songs including:

In Luna’s most recent electone playing stream, she hosted a short watchalong of the archive of this Yamaha stream!

In her second collaboration with Yamaha, Luna oversaw the production of an original design Electone, "LUNA", themed around none other than the Candy Kingdom Princess herself.

An Electone is an electronic organ produced by Yamaha. It is an instrument with the ability to emulate the sounds of pipe organs and various other instruments such as a piano or a harp. It features multiple keyboards, pedals, and a wide range of sound effects.

Above is a video showing an Electone being played. Luna herself recalled the video in a previous interview with Yamaha, noting how impressive the performance was. Full video can be found on niconico.jp

For this collaboration, the ELC-02 model will be used, which is the Electone Luna loves and enjoys playing in her livestreams. She even played it during her 1-year Anniversary 3D Live!

Great effort was put into the creation of this collaboration Electone. Mr. Sakamoto from Yamaha Design Laboratory stated in the second collaboration interview that "LUNA" even pays homage to the Electone featured in Luna’s 3D Live performance (as seen in the video above).

A lot of trial and error, research, and even Twitter polls were conducted in an effort to create an instrument that truly embodied Himemori Luna.

After creating multiple prototypes, painting, and assembly, the Electone was finally completed!

“LUNA” will not be an electone available for sale, but it can be seen in various Yamaha locations and events all over Japan, including an unveiling tour that will be held in Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya from March to May 2023! (picture taking only)

More information about the unveiling tour for "LUNA" can be found on this website. (TBA)

While playing the instrument won't be available during the tour, there are plans to provide further exhibitions and even opportunities to perform and play “LUNA” starting in June onwards.
