Open your sleepy eyes, Tako

No need to fear, Takos.. It's just me, Yumi-chan, and it's time to share some info about Ina’s new EP! As you know, last November Ina and Kiara went live for TakoTori Showtime, streaming along with IRyS, Fuwawa and Mococo Abyssgard. The show was full of energy, from dancing challenges, choreography learning, and 3 big announcements:

  • Ina's new EP, “re:VISION”

  • Kiara's new album, “Vogelfrei”

  • The new TakoTori concert, “Drawn to Dawn”

That's right! On that day, many Takodachis and KFP's hearts went ドキドキ, just like mine.

In this article, we'll be talking about Ina’s EP! But make sure you keep an eyes out on our socials, as when Drawn to Dawn rolls around, we'll be covering it too! I'll be sure to cover it live, just like our afterthoughts on All For One!

You can also read our previous article focused on Kiara’s new album, “Vogelfrei”, here:
Information on Kiara's New Album “Vogelfrei” & Interviews with KFP

As you might have guessed, the reactions were hype! During her chatting stream where she takobout the Drawn to Dawn concert and the EP, she mentioned there'll be new songs in the EP. She wanted the songs to be related to each other in some way, connecting the theme and lore back to Ninomanyo Inya’nis. "This EP is going to be a good wrap up to Ina's lore.”

Now you may be wondering, who drew this beautiful artwork for Ina's EP?

It was illustrated by none other than the beautiful artist, @ninomaeinanis, a very popular artist that's very well known within the hololive community!

She’s so well known that even Kiara follows her on Twitter! I mean, just look at her reaction!

Continuing with the chatting stream, Ina revealed some of behind-the-scenes for her EP’s cover art! Such as 3 renditions of when Ina was sketching up the EP! Her very first rough sketch (seen below in the first image) looks completely different from what she has now.

It was a very interesting concept. However, when Mane-chan asked for the EP sketch, she didn't want to give that one.

So Ina was given a rush of INAsparation and quickly drew up the second rough sketch. It depicts our cute Ina walking through an art gallery, behind her being one of the artworks: a bunch of Tentacles~!

Here are some more BTS works she showed during the stream! I really appreciate her showing us these beautiful artworks, as it show the thoughts behind not only the songs and lore itself, but also the artwork that represents it!

That's right, it's the new original song “TAKO∞TAKOVER” where we follows the story of !̸͗͊ͅ?̷̽̈́̓̔!̸̄́̒̅!̵̢̑͆͠?̷̃̈́̈̽?̴̫̼̋͂!̵!̷̝̤̈́̃?̶͚̽̄̊ as she looking for more people to turn into Takodachi, and to hopefully world domination with 80 million Takos! It's a very catchy, hypnotizing, and the lyrics are written by…MORI CALLIOPE?!

Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, even the Grim Reaper couldn't escape from the hand of our Goddess. Although really, who would want to escape this amazing nautical journey!

The amazing MV of TAKO∞TAKOVER was created by a lot of artists!

Movie production by Lumina, storyboarding & 3D assets by Rumskiich, logo and thumbnail by Saku, and 2D animation by TellingBones!

And of course, big thank you to Aiobahn +81 for the music, and of course as previously mentioned, Mori Calliope for creating the amazingly addicting lyrics!

The party doesn't end once Ina dominates the world

Now of course, all big music projects can't go without a release party, so Ina woke up just in time to start her release party for the new Takover song! There's a lot to cover in the release party, so I'll be cherry picking the most important or coolest info you'd need to know! Be sure to check out the stream, as she goes into more detail behind the lore and the design aspect, the lyrics, and other special stuff you'd wanna hear! With that out of the way, let's get started!

  • The hardest part for our priestess to sing was during the rap portion, as she had to do some secret breathing to ensure she can sing it all in one go!

  • Cookie is not a REAL currency! Please do not go to your local takoyaki store and use cookies as payment

  • Ina complimented Calli's lyrics, as she went above and beyond, even adding hidden references! Did you managed to figure them all out?

  • There'll be more MVs in 2026, so... grab your cookies, it'll be a good wait

And there's more news where that came from! Be sure to watch the original stream and listen to Ina's cuteness!

Interviews with the Tako!

So, before we begin, I'd like to apologize. We tried to interview 80 Takos, but unfortunately some 35 Tako got taken away to be experimented on so...

Good news, however, we have 5 main interviews, with an extra 40 Takos answering one very special question! We'd like to welcome StrawberryCandy, Astra, NxKarim, Ryusei, and Zeik!

Q. What was the first song from Ina that you listened to? This can be an original, cover, group song, or even from one of her karaoke streams

  • StrawberryCandy: its sugar song and bitter step

  • Astra: Honestly, I think it very well may have been Violet. Despite slowly sinking my way into Hololive in late, like November 2020, I didn't do a whole lot beyond watching streams or clips at first, and karoake, wasn't my thing back then. In fact, it took a while for me to get more into the music and idol side of Hololive, but I do recall watching Violet after it came out!

  • NxKarim: Woah the very first song hmm I don't remember to be honest, might actually be a karaoke one but can't recall, considering originals and covers it was Violet! I had it on repeat for months =w=)

  • Ryusei: hmm Its been quite a while since I started watching Ina but the first song I remember listening from her was Unravel during her very early karaokes which quickly also became a meme on her channel and across the discord

  • Zeik: “Sugar song to bitter step” she sang it on Debut and a couple of karaokes its one of my favorite ending themes and I think her voice fit that song really well

Q. What was your thoughts listening through the EP? Was there a new song that specifically stood out for you?

  • StrawberryCandy: The song that stood out to me was definitely Tako Takover! I'm actually a big fan of Aiobahn, so I was looking forward to this song even before we knew what it was called. As for the EP as a whole, Im just proud my oshi has enough original songs for one now

  • Ryusei: I loved the new EP! Her 4 previous songs (Violet, Meconopsis, Temari, Tako Takover) were already amazing and the 2 new songs plus Acoustic version of violet were really good too! from the new releases Abyssal Hymn was really exceptional cause it really felt ethereal in a sense and knowing Ina is a very huge fan of the NieR series I can see why she leaned into that direction with it. Listening to the EP from start to end really made me reflect how far she came as an singer too from Violets somber and emotional tones to Tako Takovers crazy speed and beats she really has gone beyond her limits with genres and directions to challenge her and all of it turned out so so good! I was really proud of her journey

  • NxKarim: She does put a lot of effort into including her illustrations in the MVs she's such an amazing artist and has a great voice Listening to the EP felt like taking a trip down memory lane, of how many things had happened throughout the years and how far Ina has gotten, felt so happy for her, after listening to the new songs it was like an anime ending, Acoustic Violet hit real hard. An ending in a good way like her journey up to the EPs release was over but an even better second season has just begun!

  • Astra: I think it's impossible for me to choose one. Tako-Takover took over my favorite original slot when it released, for just being unabashadly energetic and oozing with personality, while also showcasing the world's most wacky apocalypse. But when RE:Vision came out, I woke up early, and the minute it dropped I sat at my computer and listened to it all in order. Takodachi no Uta immediately put me on edge when I first heard it, especially coming off of Takover, it sounded, way, way too innocent, and was giving me major Mili vibes, an artist I get into last year that loves to combine dark themes in with friendly and cute sounding songs. And diving into the lyrics further, yeah, absolutely a beautiful song that has something, sad and foreboding under the surface, this sensation of fleeting innocence, which given her place as a priestess for AO, is quite fitting in with her other hinted lore. While it never pulled the rug from under me like I expected, I've grown to like it more and more over time. And then there's Abyssal Hymn! When I first heard Abyssal Hymn, I was locked in within 2 seconds. The clock ticks immediately denoted that this was a big moment, and we dive into this epic piece that builds up and flows into this epic song, where our forces that have been hinted at throughout the rest of the EP take flight and collide, and we get this song that allows us to imagine this epic confrontation, something that transcends timelines and time loops and it just tickled my brain in all the right ways. I think what we really see by the end of Re:vision, is that Ina is an experienced singer now with a variety of tones she can use - In a way, music has become another medium she can paint with. Takover is bright, loud, in your face and saturated, overwhelming the audience with an infectious tune and energetic vocals and chants! Takodachi no Uta on the other hand, mixes in both background noises and her whispery, lullaby-like voice to create this space of fleeting innocence, and tragic memories she holds dearly. Abyssal Hymn on the other hand, has this ethereal and mysterious quality, playing out like a fairytale, and it mixes in tragedy with the need to act. Combine the instrumentation and layered voices with Ina's own strength pushing the song forward, and we get this gorgeous song for a divine conflict, swimming with a haunting aura and beautiful, angelic vocals. And then to top it all off, we conclude with Violet again, almost like an answer to the past, and really get to feel her put on her finishing touches, the final signature as we see how far she has come. Each song is a benchmark and a work of art in her wonderful gallery, all playing parts in telling a greater story, and are stronger because of that. And because of that, I can't truly pick any single one as my favorite!

  • Zeik: “Takodachi no Uta” is the one that stand out the most me, its hard to put into words , but it feels like the reminder that there will be a good bye at some point

Q. There's seems to be a lot of connective storytelling across the songs in the EP. What are your thoughts on the lore implications behind it?

  • StrawberryCandy: The lore is pretty interesting! If the lore begins with Temari -> Violet and splits here into the "good end" Meconopsis and the "bad end" Takover, I wonder what the sequel to Temari that Ina talked about will cover? I wonder if Abyssal Hymn fits into it somehow too. Although I haven't looked into the lyrics for abyssal hymn yet. I think Ina said she'll release an MV for it in the future

  • Ryusei: yeah Ina loves to put lore bits in her songs and esp MV's. Since she draws all of them she put so many small details and touches to gives us lore each time she releases something and I thinks thats super cool of her! Us takos have been connecting the Ina and takodachi lore for years now and Ive seen so many passionate Tako's analyzing each frame to see what more there could be and making big posts about stuff they find. I remember especially during Temari's release everyone went crazy with the lore implications and new characters. The story of a simple girl finding a book turned into such a big web of lore its genuinely amazing how big of a story she can tell with her songs.

  • NxKarim: I really like a lot the lore within Ina's songs, it is so fun to theorize with other takos, it also gives a lot more depth to the EP and each song, the new songs really made some things clearer, and abyssal hymn felt like the great climax and conclusion to all of it, music is a form of self-expression and the songs having lore and expanding it while expressing her real emotions too, is so Ina

  • Astra: Hahaha, ahhhh... That is... difficult. Part of what I enjoy is the discussion with other takos, who constantly challenge me or provide new points of view, and while I have some theories of my own, some of which I was surprised to see get as much traction as they did, I can't say I'm fully confident, even with a full timeline written out. But what I can say, is that, if any single word defines Ina's work: It is VISION Temari was the first one that got me hooked, it was so dark, darker than almost anything else from HoloEN, and combined with how soft and innocent Ina usually is, that contrast had me hooked. And then she said: "It takes place at several points in time" and "I'd be surprised if anyone got it!" And I took that as a challenge. In that instance, it got me to scrounging around, digging up every clue, and coming up with one theory. Then I began to realize how the time travel in Temari worked, and I rewrote it again. And then takover and Re:vision released, and I still don't feel confident about it! But, with her final releases, I finally began to see more parts of the puzzle fit into place, and I ultimately cannot speak for her, but, without a doubt every story connects to an intertwined idea that connects them all: Love. In every song, we get hints and clues as to what this love is, but more directly, we see the actions it leads to. In Violet, Ina is struggling to remember someone from her past, until after worry and doubt, she dives in, taking a risk to meet them again. In Meconopsis, Love is the bond that allows her to defy AO, and whatever may come to pass, it is through the connections she remembers she can save the world. In Temari, Love is the bond which pulls the girls together, and eventually, leads to one (possibly our wahtcher) rewriting the timeline, changing fates to save the other. In Takover, Takodachis are the "dearest creation", and seem to be dear and near to Ina (or, whatever remains of her)'s heart. Takodachi no Uta oozes with childhood memories of a close friend who is now lost, far away, wanting to meet again. Possibly the first takodachi, and I theorize, the friend in the original timeline who died, and she couldn't bare to be apart from (possibly leading to Takover, and forcing a do-over) Abyssal Hymn? Both the JP and EN vocalist, as Ina implied the two are different POV's, speak of a reunion and meeting again. And finally, Acoustic Violet returns the question of the first. Throughout each piece, Love is what drives each character, Ina, friend, or other, to push forward, and it's what allows them to all connect to one another, and dream of a better world where they can meet again, until one day they make it happen.

  • Zeik: I am always impressed on the level of detail that goes into the songs and the videos to include so many easters eggs for us to find or to interpret the meaning of , its like we are able to enjoy it in multiple levels “stunning art” “great music” “great story”

Q. What would you say is your favorite lore so far of the songs that has been released by Ina or theorized by the Takodachi?

  • StrawberryCandy: My favorite is TEMARI, where it all starts. (Im also a fan of Lumina, who did the MV and lyrics). The script used in the MV is a really cool addition, as well as the overall story of Ina being imprisoned underground as the last surviving child and awakening as the priestess of the ancient ones

  • Ryusei: Probably the temari theories, especially the theory the takodachis made about the multiple girls that show up during the MV and them slowly turning into flowers and disappearing while only Ina remains. They made whole charts about the MV scenes where the girls touch hands with each other theorizing a ''soul swap'' happening and them disappearing after which fit the image of the temari MV with the ''dark'' appearance of Ina slowly going Insane. It was very intruding to follow as the tako's deciphered it over the days.

  • NxKarim: I have two actually, first would be after Meconopsis dropped it's lore relation to Violet wasn't all clear yet, but then Ina said it was a future and everything made sense lol, we still needed more info, Meconopsis and then TakoTakover being branching endings was so interesting, and the other is when TakoTakover dropped and started to analyze the MV noticed the psychedelic effect on Ina's flaps and eyes, got reminded of the snail parasite and suddenly things click, other takos noticed too and we thought hmm she might actually be possessed or controlled in some way. Then she confirmed the inspiration was that and it was so awesome, also that she keeps getting away with the clues and hints!!

  • Astra: I think that would have to be the wahtcher. I wasn't super interested at first. In fact, when Temari first came out, I remember I was very defiant/minimizing the wahtcher. But over time, I've come to really like them. They are connected with so many parts of Ina's lore in subtle ways, from her own cover of Nai Nai, to her own streams and even having their own little sanctum in the vrchat world that looks an awful lot like a Temari ball on the inside. If they are the friend Ina has been searching for all this time, I think that is both tragic and beautiful, as she at least seems to watch over and keep each other safe, but there was likely a lot of personal sacrifice involved to reach this happy ending. I just want them both to get cookies, and maybe hold han- But yeah, I love their subtle presence in the background, and they would fit so well as her counterpart if she was also her lost friend from the lore One of the abyss with angel wings, one in the light hidden from the world. Even their designs compliment each other. So yeah, not only do I fully believe the wahtcher is the girl in Temari, but I believe her to be Ina's long lost friend she's been seeking, and given both are around today, I imagine they've found a happy end. ~Fin

  • Zeik: I think my favorite lore would be Temari , it shows the process of Ina really becoming the priestess of the Ancient one, it’s also amazing how many theories derived from it , like the other girls becoming Takodachi and now with TakoTakover showing Nuuns been transformed feel like it fully confirmed that one

Q. Aside from the amazing lore, vocal, artwork, and people. What do you personally find special about Ina's original music?

  • StrawberryCandy: Aside from those...It'd have to be how deliberate it is? It feels like she has a plan of each of her songs, and each one fits into an overall puzzle that we cant see the full image of yet

  • Ryusei: I think its a combination of her personal style and the presentation, Ina's voice is so unique compared to most other Vtubers and singers that her songs really have that touch that you cant find elsewhere and her effort of making each song different from the last one be it lore, direction, artstyle really makes it excisting to see whats next to come from her. Also her drawing her own MV's is so cool, to this day I am still amazed how talented and hard working she is.

  • NxKarim: I find it soothing and fun, even epic in some ways, her music somehow really pulls out my emotions, the vocals, the lyrics and music, match certain things that make my ceiling leak from time to time but also fuel me to keep going and try harder, sometimes when I'm working on something and one of her songs pops up it kinda gives me a power up lol, maybe it's like a "Ina works so hard so I wanna do it too" in a chill and calm way, like getting a hug or a headpat, but if it's takotakover I also go like intense head jam

  • Astra: What is special to me about Ina's original music is how she tells story through each one. Each piece plays a different part in a greater narrative, and she uses both her own experience and vocals to paint each image. This, alongside with incredible musicians and other people who work alongside her, entrances you in a shifting story with many twists and turns, and it leaves you coming back again and again as you connect things you didn't before, and appreciate all the hard work years of carefully planned hints and excellent vision that allowed Ina to craft her tales. Once she wrapped up her own lore, she mentioned wanting to do more original stuff, and I'm so excited to see what landscapes and stories this wonderful artist will bring to life, in both art and song dancing as one

  • Zeik: I love that she is still trying different things and that the songs are really different genres but also connected by the Lore

Q. And for our special question! TAKODACHI, what should we do to takover the WAHHHHHHHHHHrld?

  1. StrawberryCandy: Oshikatsu is the key! Expanding beyond the screen is vital, whether its a billboard or a cupsleeve event. Places where vtubers aren't traditionally found. Like Wesker said: Total global saturation, or something 笑

  2. Ryusei: Spread the Tako virus across the globe with our WAH's and cookies but never forget we are not a cult >:D We Are Happy! We are Here! We are Hype!

  3. NxKarim: I think we shall give cookies to everyone, but with a condition, you get a cookie if you watch one Ina stream or listen to one of her songs, then they will notice how cute is Ina and boom new takodachi, it's a perfect plan, everyone loves cookies!

  4. Astra: Take it one day at a time, enjoy a cookie, and share the things you love. Like Ina!

  5. Zeik: We should help and befriend everyone and then we all be Takos

  6. Haze: We should infest everyone with the tako earworm, the world will not be at peace until everybody is listening to Ina's voice!

  7. Leegami: Spreading the gospel of Ina’s Back

  8. Xorta: Use cookies as our currency

  9. AzaleaAster: Having unwahvering devotion

  10. Chumbeque: As takodachi, we should simply make ourselves as comfy as possible and wait for instructions from our priestess

  11. Spud Tako: We shall make the world run on Inasanity and cookies

  12. jasupurin: WAHrld domINAtion with unlimited cookies!

  13. ProxyZeus: I think we should offer good health insurance and benefits

  14. wydken: Completely remove Daylight Saving Time from everywhere in the Worl!! Or better yet, replace all timezones with TST (Tako Standard Time)!

  15. Lulu: paint the wAHrld in VIOLET! violet walls, wiolet ink, violet items, violet eggplants, violet clothes... VIOLET EVERYWHERE

  16. Aoi: To takover the world, without much effort, obviously, takos will slowly infiltrate organisations with our cute and chill WAHs. Slowly, we shall change the minds of all around us to WAH and cookies. Soon, all shall see the absolute pure cuteness and perfectness of Ina. And those that resist? They shall fall to our WAHrmys led by our brave Tako Prime general.

  17. fufu: As Takodachi, we should stay imaginative and truthful to who we are to takover the WAHrld. To me, it's simply stated in the song TAKO TAKOVER that Ina wishes to dye this world in violet before she's gone. The color violet is a mix of blue and red which represent stability and energy. In a world that sometimes feels quite chaotic, we want to remain introspective for clarity and balance. This also calls us to be kind and compassionate. The red, on the other hand, calls us to remain artistic and imagnative. There are so many possiblities we need to keep exploring and trying to become pun-stoppable! Overall, this is what Ina is striking toward and is asking us to join her. After all, it all goes back to ichi (her) and hachi (us as takos). Kyle: We must dye this world in Violet for our Priestess.

  18. KanijiTako89: Probably the best way to take over is to convert more and more to become Takos. If I’m wrong then please let me know

  19. Tonster117: Spread joy and love in your day to day life. Especially if that includes introducing her music to others

  20. Myriads: Promote the usage of cookies as currency, and encourage people to have extra legs!

  21. tom80: WE HAVE TO COOK

  22. KoronesukiBAUBAU: The WAHrld Takover has already begun, didn't you know?

  23. Streetbeat Journalist: Endless Cookies Parties!

  24. Silent: Change the world currency to cookies

  25. Raifu4Laifu: Spread the word of Ina - along side with cookies

  26. Pely: Propaganda

  27. The True Cat of Science: take all the good cookies and leave the world with only oatmeal raisin. Then tell the world they only get their cookies back when they accept Ina as queen

  28. Astra: Wahn cookie for day, my friend... Wahn cookie at a time. Until ALL is tako.

  29. Ajiekral: Get in between the lines of the government to turn influecial politicians into became takodachis just kidding... unless~

  30. Rokenji: cookies for everyone

  31. GamingAir: BEGIN THE NEW WAH ORDER

  32. otter: Create a line of cookies to sell in small packages for $5 a box. Recruit a bunch of people to sell them in front of stores. See massive profits and world domination

  33. Gialice: Spread the teaching of our Priestess

  34. Grimmy: A tako for everybody's brain to do the thinking

  35. ChaoRuler: We take every bakery and make cookies non stop until we become a cookie brand to expand into other pastries

  36. Tuunamation: Cucumbers

  37. Adrift: Cookie bake sale

  38. huros: You can't go wrong with T-shirts and merchandise. Always stylish, and if anyone asks who it is, you've got a new fan up your sleeve.

  39. Cruz: uhh cough cough, teachers and judges, from there you can takover in a few generations.

  40. Ina_Simp (what a based username this is) : We need to start bringing out the big guns! We need stickers, pamphlets and more! Gotta go full blown cult! (We swear it’s not a cult tho) ---you can leave my comment in btw about the username lmao----

  41. NS-16: Space exploration. taking over another world.

  42. Justin Reinhart: Phase 1: Eat cookies. Phase 2: ???? Phase 3: Profit!

  44. Tentacult Wyvern Lord: Convert government officials into takodachis. The rest will fall in line

  45. Blue Senshi: More music! Spread her word to the rest of the world!

We’ll be releasing the full interviews soon, so please look forward to that!

Final Wahrd

phew, that was.. so much longer than I had anticipated. When I first originally wrote this article, the planning started back in February 14th! My love for Ina exceeded my valentine plan, you see wwww. I never could have expected to include so much info here! Originally, I wanted to interviews 75 Takos (+ 5 Main interviews) for a total of 80 Tako, but unfortunately I couldn't get all 75! However, I am planning on going to Drawn to Dawn, so maybe I can grab a few more responses from there? 👀 who knows, Tako~

Ina held a very special place in my heart. Back in 2020, I was just your typical teenager. Playing osu, gaming in Valorant, watching anime and jamming to J-Pop, I stumble across a very cute tweet. Come debut date, and I now found myself watching this throughout my Highschool year. Needless to say, Ina is the very reason I found out about Hololive, and VTuber as a whole. Her soft voice, her cute laugh, and the very adorable model that she had was enough to draw me in. From there, I discovered more of Hololive, and, well. Here I am. So thank you, Ninomae Ina'nis. From the bottom of my heart to you,

Be sure to check out our full interviews at Ina ep! It'll include all the questions you see here, as well as the little monologues I had between each guests! With that, Imma go eat some mint chocolate cookies~ wah!
