hololive TODAY Q&A: hololive English Reflects on -Serendipity-

Serendipity is when something wonderful finds you by chance.

For the talents of hololive English, that feeling ran through every moment of their live performance at hololive English 4th Concert -Serendipity- earlier this month, exactly four weeks ago, at The Shrine Auditorium.

For the fans of hololive who watched the concert, that feeling could’ve been anything: from meeting with friends at offkai parties and the concert itself, making new friends you meet along the way, or simply gathering in celebration of that special weekend together.

For us at hololive TODAY, that feeling is having the wonderful opportunity of being invited to the concert and asking the talents themselves about their experience at -Serendipity-.

We had the pleasure of attending the concert as guests and connecting with several members of the performing cast through COVER Corp. post-concert, and we’re honored to share their reflections here.

Units were introduced specially for this concert, allowing established duos and new pairings to really showcase powerful dynamics and surprising harmony in vocals during performances and personality during the MC portions.

For an in-depth look into some of the performances at -Serendipity-, we highly recommend checking out the official post-event report here.

Now that it’s been a month since the concert, what we at hololive TODAY wanted to know were the talents' afterthoughts—from reflections about their unit dynamic, favorite moments from Serendipity, and any other lingering sentiments.

Please join us as we share responses from Takanashi Kiara, Hakos Baelz, Shiori Novella, Nerissa Ravencroft, FUWAMOCO (Fuwawa Abyssgard and Mococo Abyssgard), and Cecilia Immergreen!

hololive TODAY:
After sharing the stage together, did anything about your unit dynamic surprise you, or maybe bring you closer?

Kiara:
Not just the performance and MC but also the collab we did beforehand did make me feel closer to Bijou, and I really hope we can do more together!!!!

I feel like we had a lot of fun, even when things went bad during the MC!

From Day 2 of -Serendipity- featuring Rocku Wawa (Koseki Bijou and Takanashi Kiara) during their MC segment (right before the unfortunate 67-curse moment)

Bae:
After being with IRyS for so long, nothing really surprised me. I will say though since it was our first duet stage together it was really really fun and I'll never forget this experience!

From Day 2 of -Serendipity- featuring BaeRyS (Hakos Baelz and IRyS) during their unit performance of “LUVORATORRRRRY!” by Giga

Shiori:
I was surprised that our voices worked well enough for the duet.

I was worried I’d be too squeaky or just unfit to compliment MorMor’s crazy skill, but I think it turned out okay! It was also just a fun song to sing.

From Day 1 of -Serendipity- featuring LastWrites (Mori Calliope and Shiori Novella) during their unit performance of “When My Devil Rises” by MAN WITH A MISSION

Nerissa:
Performing with Liz is always an incredible privilege, and this was our first time performing as a duo during a live!

Liz always surprises me with her passion and fluidity - she makes everything look really fun and effortless, so it makes a great environment to focus on having fun together!

From Day 2 of -Serendipity- featuring Bloodraven (Elizabeth Rose Bloodflame and Nerissa Ravencroft) during their unit performance of “A Cruel Angel's Thesis” by Yoko Takahashi

FUWAMOCO:
We're always having so much fun and silliness together, so practicing and working towards our performance really brought us even closer than we were before! ✨

We didn't think Raora would harass us about our tails and chase us around stage though...!! bau bau... ⤵️⤵️

From Day 2 of -Serendipity- featuring BFF (Raora Panthera, Fuwawa Abyssgard, and Mococo Abyssgard) during their MC segment (Raora wanted her revenge!)

Cecilia:
Having a silly song where we run around, adlib and scream at each other... on the big stage... was awesome... it might not have been a surprise but it was !! SO MUCH FUN!

From Day 1 of -Serendipity- featuring Autofister (Cecilia Immergreen and Gigi Murin) during their unit performance of “CCGG MADNESS”, their original song

hololive TODAY:
What was your favorite moment from Serendipity overall?

Kiara:
Getting to see so many face gathering for Hololive English is always a big joy and honor. I am so glad we have come so far as Hololive English, and that I was able to be part of every single concert to this day!

Bae:
For me personally my favourite moment was the duality of the Serendipity weekend.

I love performing with all my holoEN girls on stage where everyone is putting their best foot forward but then after the concert, we were all chilling and bed rotting.

Shiori:
I’m biased. I was really happy with my MCs, so I’m going to give myself and my MC partners a pat on the back!

We should’ve been comedians!

From Day 2 of -Serendipity- featuring Vestia Zeta, Shiori, and Cecilia during their MC segment (Shiori continues her “curse” of getting kissed live, on stage, and this time stealing one from both Zeta and Cecilia)

Nerissa:
The audience! It's always the case for me, during lives, that seeing, hearing, and feeling the audience brings me the most joy. Hearing everyone cheer and do the fan chants during Oyome Holic was the best!

FUWAMOCO:
Maybe it's to be expected at this point, but nothing can top seeing everyone's smiles and hearing your loud voices!

You make all our hard work, sweat and tears worth it!! We'll work hard to have that chance again! 💗

Cecilia:
ALL THE FAN CHANTS AND LIGHT STICK WAVING!! no matter which song, having you guys cheer and chant was so much fun. And even afterwards while watching the recording it fills me with lots of happiness, seeing you guys cheer us all on! THANK YOU SO MUCH!! c:

From Day 1 of -Serendipity- featuring fans cheering on to Autofister’s performance (CCGG CCGG CCGG MADNESS! CCGG CCGG AUTOFISTER!!)

hololive TODAY:
As the excitement and celebration for Serendipity wraps up, please share a message to your fans and the hololive community!

Kiara:
I hope you guys didnt miss my birthday live that was right after serendipity, please check it out if you didnt! (A little self promo won't hurt, right?)

And let's continue supporting Hololive English to continue growing so that we can see each other again!

Bae:
I just wanted to thank all our fans for supporting us in yet another hololive EN live concert. There were many challenges this year but we were able to overcome them and its all thanks to the warm love that our fans give us. Truly, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you guys so much!!

Shiori:
Next concert will be called Coinkydink! See you then!

I’m kidding. Thanks for watching and supporting us! Let’s have more fun together and spread more kindness and whimsy!

Nerissa:
This was hololive's 4th American Live! I hope you guys enjoyed it to the max and will continue looking forward to what our future holds 💙

FUWAMOCO:
Please continue to support hololive English and cheer for us from all over the world! It really means everything to us, so please continue to show your amazing passion to both us members and for everyone else to see!

And with that, we’d like to extend our sincerest thanks to Kiara, Bae, Shiori, Nerissa, FUWAMOCO, and Cecilia for taking the time to share their reflections with us, even as the excitement of the Serendipity weekend settles.

Reading through their answers, it’s clear that Serendipity meant something different to each of them. For some, it was a duet finally realized. For others, a pair dynamic further deepened. And of course, an audience that made all the hard work going into the concert worth it.

But threaded through every response is the same sentiment: gratitude for the fans who showed up, who watched from home or local watchalongs, everyone who cheered, and all the fans that made the weekend what it was. A weekend of serendipity.

We’re incredibly grateful to COVER Corp. for the opportunity to bring these words directly from the talents to you, the reader. We look forward to the opportunity to do something like this again, and who knows, maybe something more interview-like, and asking deeper questions similar to our Interview series.

As always, thank you for reading, and stay tuned as we continue covering hololive English and the community that makes it all so special.
