hololive x Kanda Matsuri and Atre Akihabara Collaboration Announced; 12 Talents to Participate

Quick overview: the hololive collaboration will encompass the sale of goods, visual decorations, and other proceedings at several locations: The Kanda Myojin Shrine, atré Akihabara 1, and atré Akihabara 2.

Kanda Matsuri is one of Tokyo and Japan’s three major festivals, which is held at Kanda Myojin Shrine located in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

Starting May 11th until May 17th, the collaboration can be fully viewed at the shrine.

Outside of the shrine, starting May 1st until May 21st the hololive collaboration will also take place both inside and outside of the atré Akihabara 1 and 2 locations at the Akihabara Station.

The area will be fully decorated in “hololive Kanda Matsuri” fashion, and various original collaboration goods will be on sale featuring the hololive cast for this event. Additionally, some products may be on sale at the Kanda Myojin Shrine itself on May 11th.

Participating hololive members for this event will include talents from all of hololive:

  • hololive JP: Sakura Miko, Himemori Luna, Shirakami Fubuki, Nakiri Ayame, Ookami Mio, Minato Aqua, Sakamata Chloe, Houshou Marine

  • hololive ID: Kureiji Ollie, Kobo Kanaeru

  • hololive EN: Gawr Gura, Ninomae Ina’nis

 

A schedule of events (taken from prtimes.jp) at the Kanda Myojin Shrine will proceed as follows:

  • May 11th (Thursday), 7:00 pm: Hono'oi Mikoshi Kanjō-sai (Enshrining of the Portable Shrine of the Phoenix Palanquin).

  • May 12th (Friday), evening: Ujiko Machikai Mikoshi Shinrei-iri (Entrance of the Divine Spirit in the Portable Shrine by the Local Community Association).

  • May 13th (Saturday), all day: Kankō-sai (Procession of the Portable Shrines) at Kanda, Nihonbashi, Otemachi/Marunouchi, and Akihabara.

  • May 14th (Sunday), all day: Mikoshi Miyairi (Divine Visit to the Kanda Myojin Shrine by the Portable Shrines).

  • May 16th (Tuesday): Omotesenke Iemoto Hōshi Kōcha-shiki (Tea Ceremony by the Head of the Omotesenke School).

  • May 16th (Tuesday): Myōjin Noh Yūgen no Hana (Kongō-ryū Shino Noh).

  • May 17th (Wednesday), 2:00 pm: Reitaisai (Main Festival).
