March was quite the busy month for hololive, opening with one of its biggest events of the year: hololive SUPER EXPO 2026 and hololive 7th fes. Ridin’ on Dreams. The month closed out with another highly anticipated live performance: Drawn to Dawn, hololive’s first “duo-live”, held March 27–28 at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles.

Taking center stage for this dual-headline concert were two members of hololive English’s 1st generation, -Myth-: Takanashi Kiara and Ninomae Ina’nis.

Drawn to Dawn, first announced in late 2025, marked a new chapter for hololive English live events, driven by growing demand for more EN-focused performances.

That demand built on the success of past EN lives hosted in the United States, including Mori Calliope’s solo live Grimoire (also held in Los Angeles), as well as multi-generation concerts on the East Coast such as Breaking Dimensions and All For One.

To reach fans worldwide, Drawn to Dawn also held live screenings across multiple regions. Fans who couldn’t attend in person could watch from cinemas globally through Live Viewing Entertainment, with locations including:

  • Hong Kong

  • Macau

  • Taiwan

  • Singapore

  • Indonesia

  • Thailand

  • Malaysia

  • Australia

  • Mexico

Hong Kong in particular has seen steady growth in its VTuber fanbase since 2020. Many fans have expressed a desire for local events and collaborations featuring their oshis, hoping to avoid the need for costly international travel.

As a result, the city was selected this year as one of several live viewing locations, with multiple venues under the local cinema chain Emperor Cinemas hosting screenings.

Turnout across both concert days was strong, with many local fans attending the Saturday and Sunday screenings. Adding to the weekend’s excitement, local hololive fan group Holofans HK coordinated group photos and videos to show their support for Ina and Kiara on social media, including a celebratory pre-show message.

Reception to the live viewings was positive, with both days running smoothly and without technical issues.

In addition to the overall experience, many attendees also praised the talents themselves for delivering setlists across both days that showcased their growth as performers and musical artists.

“Having followed Ina in her early years, I couldn’t have imagined how much she would improve leading up to now,” commented one attendee.

“Hearing her singing voice reminded me of a popular J-pop artist on the radio. Her performances of Gunjou and Umi no Yuurei in particular brought me close to tears. I can’t imagine how far she’ll go in the future. ~ Wah.”

For some fans, however, living halfway across the Pacific Ocean was no obstacle. A number of Hong Kong fans took the initiative to travel all the way to California to attend the event in person.

One fan from this Hong Kong “delegation,” CaptainMeow, shared their excitement at not only seeing their favorite EN talents live, but also witnessing a major milestone firsthand:

“After five years as a hololive fan, watching others attend EN concerts from afar, reaching Drawn to Dawn all the way from Europe was the fulfillment of a major aspiration. Seeing Ina and Kiara pour their souls into their performance brought me to tears, especially as I reflected on their growth. From a shy girl who could only sing when her parents left the house, to a phoenix who finally found her confidence, their journey moved me deeply. Supporting them from the beginning was the right choice, and witnessing this milestone in person proved that no dream is truly impossible.

This concert was a pivotal experience that transcended language barriers and distance. For those two hours on each day, every KFP and Takodachi in the venue felt like family, united by a shared passion for our oshis. Beyond the music, the kindness and support within the community made the event truly unforgettable. To Ina and Kiara: no matter what new heights or ambitions you chase next, I will be there to support you. Glory to TakoTori!”

Another attendee, Fufu—active in both American and Hong Kong fan circles—shared how the weekend created opportunities to connect with others in person while experiencing the performances:

“After a year of battling illness, spending three months hand-making Ina’s outfits and organizing flower stands was my way of reclaiming life and stepping out of my bubble.

Trading my screen for real life—hugs with friends from Hong Kong and the Discord community—turned superficial conversations into core memories I’ll keep forever. Witnessing the hard work of Ina and Kiara with the energy of a live crowd made me feel truly connected and alive again.”
